ST. LOUIS RESIDENT WHOSE HOME WAS DESTROYED

Hello, hello.

I viewed this website for the first time quite by accident. My sentimentsand feelings concerning urban renewal is drasticallyexhibited in your pictures. My home in the city was razed in 1952. Therevitalilizing of the inner city during the 1970s caused mass upheaval ofstable, if not up to the perceived standards level, that the city fathersassured us was for health and welfare of a larger community populace.

To their discredit, every promised benefit has been reaped by the land-holders, engineers, building trades, and the bureacrats that were appointedto operate the commissions, projects, or site.

Former President Bush was dumped on unmercifrlly when he mentioned in anews spot that future housing would not go the way it had been directedSt. Louis. Congressional, state, local politicians forced him to retract,in part, the reference he had made.

I'm so sorry that this is so. For a tally, you can count these HUD projectsthat were destroyed:

Pruitt-Igoe
Cabanne Courts
Darst-Webbe
Vaughn
Laclede Town

Respectfully yours,
