The Crow wrote in answer: Thisis irrelevant. The simple truth (not facts, truth - let's get it straight)is that the current tide of immigration must be stopped. Immediately. Atthe very least, the massive government "assistance" to immigrants,legal or otherwise, must be cut off. And you can bite your tongue rightnow before screaming your typical, liberal, bleating of "Fascist! Racist!Bigot!". Everytime you're cornered, you resort to the three lables- "Fascist! Racist! Bigot!" - it's old, the jokes worn thin, I'mneither of the three, and you can save your lables for Del Monte. Thereisn't anything to demonize, so don't bother - you want to demonize something,go buy a copy of the Necronomicon.
Our country is suffering an invasion, currently. The problem lies in thefact that too many people from disparate cultures, and societies, are beinglet into our country. Regardless of what your liberal, whining, mind, mightbelieve, our country "does" have its own culture, and its ownmores. What happens when you allow millions into the country, both legallyand illegally? Exactly what is happening today. You have tens or hundredsof groups, made up of various nationalities, from various and sundry placesaround the globe, pocketing themselves into isolated communities, and thentrying to get the country to change "for them".
Make no mistake. The previous waves of immigrants in the 19th and early20th century were "different" than the rabble flooding our countrytoday. The ancestors of those living here today, the ones descended fromeither the Mayflower and Jamestown (as are mine), or the more recent onesoff the boat from Europe, in the early 20th/late 19th centuries, were ofa different stock, than those arriving here today. Those immigrants cameto this country expecting to become "Americans" - they forcedtheir children to "learn" and "speak" English - theydidn't bitch at the government, and demand "bi-lingual" education,or demand that street signs be put up with both English and Hindi/Spanish/Urdu/Chinese/Taiwanese/Vietnamese/Korean/Ebonics, etc, etc, etc. It is only the recently arrived rabble, that daresto be so presumptuous, and so vulgar, as to expect the country to changeto accomodate them.
Keep in mind, as well, that those immigrants were from cultures that sharedmany similarities (religions, values, history) and many common ties, withthe culture already in place - the Anglo culture of the early conquerors(we didn't "found" this country - we "conquered" it- the American Indians were here first, and we didn't peaceably assimilatethem - we took the country by force - let's make no mistake about that -truth is truth). The current immigrants arriving from Asia, India, etc,are arriving with cultures that are completely alien, and foriegn, to theEuropean cultures of the white immigrants that arrived here in the 19th/20thcentury. They have a "right" to come here, but not without ourstrict control as to "how" many, we allow - they "must"be forced to acclimate themselves to "us" - it is not "we"that have to accomodate them. No nation in the history of the world hasever been able to deal with massive influxes of foriegners, or foriegn cultures,and influences. Don't believe me? Then go read the "Rise And Fall OfThe Roman Empire". Rome couldn't do it, and we can't either. Sooneror later they wind up at each others throats.
This country has a long, and rich history, not just with it's first inhabitants,the Native Americans, but also the "American" history of the last200 + years. Sorry to make you listen, Zippy, but that history happens tobe predominantly the history of white, Europeans. Even the blacks broughthere as slaves formed a substantial part of the culture, and were a supremeinfluence in it. That culture has existed for over 200 years. It is a uniqueculture, not a conglomorate culture - it does exist, and it does have itsown standards, mores, and identity.
It is only the arrogance, and presumption, of the ignorant rabble that hasrecently flooded our country (within the last 25 years) that seeks to convincethe population at large that there is no American culture, and that everyonehas a right to keep their own culture when they come here. Utter hogwash- absolute B.S. - but they are working to convince the public that theyare being "insensetive" by denying them their "culture"or their right to use their own "language". What arrogance!
The simple truth remains this, though, slim. You come to this country, thenyou "learn" the f***in' language, play by the rules in place,and keep your f***in' culture to yourself. If the country desides, ultimately,to embrace aspects of your culture, over time, great (as it did with certainaspects of the Italian, Slavic, Nordic, German, French, and Irish, thatwere added to the pre-existing English elements) - but don't try and getthe rest of us to give you special treatement. You don't like the way thingsare here? Then get the f*** back on the boat. It's a real simple choice.
"You" are the guest, and we are the "host". You don'tshow up at somebody "else's" party, demand special seating, demandspecial dishes, and then proceed to begin belching at the table, fartingunder the table, pulling out your dick, waving it in everyone's face, andthen pissing in the fingerbowl!
Guests like that are usually shown to the door by the bouncer. America needsa "bouncer" very badly, and that bouncer "should" beour own goddamned government, and the INS in particular. But when you haveseedy elements from Asia, and Indonesia ponying up millions to Herr Bill'sre-election fund, what do you expect?
Only in a govnerment gone insane, such as ours, could five mexicans in atruck, charge through the border, lead "our" police on a long,high speed chase - begin to throw garbage, tires, and shit out of the backof the truck at the squad cars (at high speeds, which could have killedor injured not just the officers, but anyone else on the highway) - andthen have the officers investigated for "civil rights" violationswhen they beat the bastards like harp seals. Only in a government this insanecan an illegal immigrant "fight" deportation! Only in a governmentthis insane would we grant "welfare assistance" to "illegal"immigrants!
This is the current state of the country and the reason we have an immigrationcrisis. We need to put a complete moratorium on immigration, start denyingany govenrment "services" to immigrants (especially with the taxdollars of "citizens" - and I give a shit if even legal immigrantspay taxes - they aren't citizens, and therefore have no right to governmentprograms that exist for "citizens" - or at the very least "should"exist only for citizens). We need to beef up the INS by about ten timesits current size, and begin a "sweep and clear" of this country.Only then can we again open up our borders to limited immigration. The ideathat one person can come here, and then begin bringing over umpteen familymembers is an outrage - especially when they can go right down the streetand start getting various forms of welfare. You also have the problem ofthe "Asian Invasion", such as the influx of doctors from India,Pakistan, and Southeast Asia, in the mid-seventies, to mid-eighties. Thesame thing is currently happening in the computer industry.
These people come here to our universities, are given special access, specialloans and scholarships, and then are allowed to stay here and work whilegetting all kinds of tax breaks. Our own citizens cannot afford to sendtheir own kids to these univerisities, or get the breaks to start theirown businesses, but foriegners come here with the govenrment's blessing,and get all kinds of breaks not even afforded to our own citizens.
It has to stop. This madness is going to lead to the entire collapse ofour civilization, as we slowly break out into isolated groups that are eachat war with the others. We currently have a racial crisis that is divideddown the black and white boundry, but it's going to get worse in years tocome. There are going to be red, yellow, brown, black and white boundriesto contend with. The country cannot support this alien invasion. It is aninvasion of alien cultures, alien mores, alien values, and even alien languages.If it isn't stopped, our country is facing a disaster.
I suggest reading (if you can put your paranoid, liberal, ideologies asidefor a few hours), "Alien Nation" by Peter Brimelowe. It paintsa very accurate, and very frightening, picture of the future.
